Question: Why is the motorcycle section on yahoo answers filled with a bunch of *****? Posted: 24 Nov 2015 10:37 PM PST Everytime I look at the questions, the answers are from either complete morons or they're being a smart ***. I thought the bike community wasn't filled with roid raging girls? What the ****? |

Question: Where to buy a cheap self balancing scooter ? Posted: 24 Nov 2015 07:10 PM PST I saw a news story (or something) that said Wal Mart was going to try to corner the hover-scooter market this year. You probably won't find one at a bricks-and-mortar store any cheaper. Online you might save a few bucks. The thing about hover scooters is that there isn't a brand name. Like Segway. There might be half a dozen companies making them and even more putting their names on them. They are -all- 'generic', meaning they compete in price, not quality. So caveat emptor! |
Question: Motorcycle driving practice...after rain? Is it safe? Posted: 24 Nov 2015 04:52 PM PST You cannot control the weather, what happens if you are twenty miles from home and the heavens open? Do you hide under a bridge hoping it will stop or pull on your waterproofs and carry on? In wet weather you allow yourself more time to react by keeping a wider gap to the vehicle in front, you use your observation to anticipate any manoeuvres and take them smoothly with no sudden actions. A closed practice session is the place to learn just how hard you can brake in the wet, how far you can lean, how to divide your braking between front and back to balance the suspension. Doing it now as a novice is the time to learn, you do not want to try picking it up as you go along on roads. |
Question: 250cc vs 650cc for a beginner? Posted: 24 Nov 2015 04:49 PM PST Read alot about buying a 250cc for a beginner but every guy I talk to (who rides ) says go with a 650cc. Ive rode a dirt bike and a bicycle. I never crashed. I'd feel like **** if I crash on a 650cc. But a 250cc not so much, since they're cheap. I also dont want to buy a 250cc due to the fact of registration, putting on insurance etc just to take it off and get a 650cc I'm going to take a class. Plus pratice on my dad's motorcycle. What do you guys think I should get? |
