You'd think after all this time I would have gotten used to driving, right? Wrong. I am so scared to drive and I have no idea why. I have never been involved in an accident although my sister has. I have never been involved in road rage incidents or any really bad driving situation out of the norm. I am a good driver, not too fast, not too slow. I am able to change lanes and follow the rules of the road. But anytime I have to go into an area that I'm unfamiliar with, I start sweating and feeling terrified like what if I get lost, or what if I hit someone, or what if my tire blows out and all the crazy situations enter my mind and it's almost unbearable. I have a long haul to work everyday but its bearable because I have gotten used to it. Otherwise, I try to avoid driving as much as possible. My boyfriend is aware and does not mind driving but we are in a situation tomorrow where I have no other choice but to follow him for an hour and a half onto a highway (im not familiar with driving on a highway) to get a car he bought. I am so worried I can hardly think straight. Is there anyone else that has an issue with driving as well?
