| Question: Liquad in car coolant resovoir is black but car runs fine, what should I do? Posted: 07 Nov 2015 04:33 PM PST I'd suggest you drain and flush the cooling system, and refill if with new coolant. Then see what happens. I don't know why it's black, but if shouldn't be. It could have been topped up with something incorrect in the past, and no serious damage has been done (yet). Or it could have "issues". |
| Posted: 07 Nov 2015 04:24 PM PST Using a higher grade oil in hot conditions can be a sensible idea. When it's cold both oils act like 5 grade, so there is no difference in the cold. When it's hot out in the desert, the heavier grade oil may be better. |
