Question: 22 Mile Commute On A 50cc moped? Posted: 31 Aug 2014 10:22 PM PDT I'm looking at a Maddog ruckus on craigslist, it has a 50cc gy6 air cooled motor that has been big bored to 80cc and tops out at 50mph. This scooter will be my daily driver until late fall when the car I ordered arrives. I'm worried about reliability of these scooters, do they leave riders stranded often? My commute is 22 miles (one way) would this type of scooter be prone to break downs on this long of a commute? Are they easy to work on? |
Question: Good bumper sticker for "your lane ended, MERGE" type of idiots? Posted: 31 Aug 2014 05:55 PM PDT I live in a large metro area, & we have a lot of situations (freeway access roads especially), where there is a stop every mile. About a full 1/3 of a mile prior to that stop, huge "lane ends, merge left" signs appear. Of course, (being in AZ - some of the dumbest drivers in the NATION) - roughly 25% of the drivers in the right lane pretend not to see the signs, and then when their lane is ending, ignore the fact that it is their responsibility to merge and yield to the traffic whose lane is continuing. Usually women, but it certain crosses genders sometimes. Funny, cuz when 2 cars are side by side, and the car on the right has the legal responsibility to yield & merge, that person has TWO full options: 1) speed up. 2) slow down. But, strangely, some people will pretend that the horrid person is the one whose lane continued. (Even though that is a 100% backwards application of the concept of yielding and responsibility). It's not just a once in a while thing. It's every day. Hard to believe there are people who will just cruise on through a "it's 100% my responsibility to slow down or speed up to merge" situation, and expect the person who's responsibility it is NOT, to do all of the thinking & braking FOR them. (!!??) Have you seen any good bumper stickers that might help that person simmer down once they are behind you? Like, "What part of YOUR lane ends, merge left, don't you understand?" |
Question: Who makes the R2 Stealth scooter? Posted: 31 Aug 2014 04:27 PM PDT The only "R2 Stealth scooter" I could find was a Cheap Chinese Crap stand-on electric scooter. You cannot find out who made it, it was made in China to be cheap. It is illegal to ride on the sidewalk. Depending on where you are it may or may not legal on the street, but is unsafe. |
