Question: Is the street infront of white house is closed to public traffic or restricted to cars? Posted: 22 Aug 2014 10:33 PM PDT That would be Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, and it's a public street. It's often closed to vehicle traffic temporarily, like when there's a parade or big protest march, but most of the time it's an open public street with vehicles driving on it. |
Question: What if I catch an accident on video? Posted: 22 Aug 2014 08:18 PM PDT No, and no. You're under no obligation to let anyone know about your dash cam footage, especially since nobody was hurt and it's dead easy to determine who was at fault in a rear-end collision. It's always, by the way, the fault of whoever did the rear-ending. If there had been injuries or death, then witnesses are usually required to stay there and give a statement. And no, you won't get in any legal trouble if you post the video. The camera is yours, and any image it captures in public are also yours. You can get into legal trouble if you photograph people without their permission, but only if they're in a place or situation where they can reasonably expect privacy. I'm talking about a private home, a locker room, a bathroom, etc. If someone is out in public, you don't need their permission to get them on camera. NOTE: That's the legal stuff. The law only covers what is legal or illegal, which is not the same as right and wrong. Posting a video of someone in an embarrassing situation without their consent might be legal, but that doesn't make it right. |
Question: How to gain more Confidence driving on my own? Posted: 22 Aug 2014 08:08 PM PDT How to gain more Confidence driving on my own? I'm 20 and got my permit last year. I took 5 driving classes and pretty much remember the rules of the road. I haven't driven on the road in a year but the only practice I've had is parking cars and backing them up. I only driven 7 times since last year. I feel like I know what to do but I just feel nervous to take the driving test and just feel scared to drive by myself. Advice? |
Question: Manual controller for trailer lights? Posted: 22 Aug 2014 02:37 PM PDT Manual controller for trailer lights? For our 2011 mercedes ml350 the hitch and wiring harness installed is upwards of $3500, and all we need to do is tow the boat a few miles twice a year, so it really isn't worth it. Found an aftermarket hitch for cheap, but the wiring harness... Is there some sort of handheld controller you can buy where you can manually turn on the turn signals? |
Posted: 22 Aug 2014 12:44 PM PDT What is the back of a moving truck called? (The door you pull down to prevent items for falling out, often times have to lock it)? I'm writing a book and I have no idea what the back is called, I'm hoping someone on here may be able to help. |
