TRADE it for what you really want! To change engines is a BIG HEADACHES as it involves EXHAUSTS COMPUTERS WIRING HARNESS and more! ANY BMW is a keeper without CHANGING IT!

Question: What is the cheapest foreign sports car to own and maintain? BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infiniti?

EURO cars are the STRONGEST and best made ones! THEY AL COST for FLUID CHANGES, TIRES< and BRAKE PADS in time! ALL CARS are this way! the ones with TIMING BELTS cost more after 100k miles, but ALL CARS require FULL FLUID CHANGES even BRAKE FLUID changes after about 5 years or 100k miles! AUDI cars will NEVER RUST if they are VIRGINAL from accidents! AUDI and BMW are like sister cars technically and EXCELLENT, THe LEXUS even uses ZF TRANNIES from Germany on many models! The SAME COMPANY that supplies BMW, BENZ AUDI VOLVO and PORSCHE in later models! IF you do proper FLUID CHANGES expect only TIRES and BRAKE pads from them! GOOD LUCK!

I know the Jetta is rated poor. I don't know about the other VW models. Probably the same. VW quality has gone to s*it in the last several years.
