Question: Can your car still turn on after pouring water on top of battery/motor?

Can your car still turn on after pouring water on top of battery/motor?

My friend was driving their Sentra & the car stalled, luckily we were already on the side of the road next to the side walk but we smelled something burning. I think it's the gear cable or whatever for the clutch, I don't know too much about cars, but it caught on fire!
Someone near by gave us a bucket of water, so we ended up pouring it on where the cable is. some water got on top of the car battery * whatever else is next to it but we didn't pour it on top of the rest of the motor or anything.
I see a lot of posts about pouring water into a battery or into a motor, but we didn't pour water into anything, we poured it ON TOP of the cable & battery to put it out.
We don't really want to risk turning on the car right now because we both don't know much about cars. but my questions is will the car still turn on & work fine if we have someone else who knows how to actually drive a manual car, move it & park it back where the house is? Or did we already **** up the car?
My friend thinks if we just wait until it's dry, it'll be able to turn on & function again, & we can just have one of our friends who's been driving for years, move it. The cable only got a little bit burnt, you can see part of the wires but only half an inch. I think we shouldn't even risk it until we call a mechanic.
The car is a Nissan Sentra.

Fluid leak from Chrysler PT Cruiser...?

I have a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser. It was fine last night, and is leaking fluid heavily today. There is a great deal of vibration from the under carriage when I try to steer, and the steering feels uneasy (an abnormal combination of heavy and light). Hell a lot of fluid is leaking from front of the engine as I try to steer..its a bit yellowish in color. Can you diagnose this? Is this a brake or transmission issue? Oil levels seem normal.

Question: I started to use my wipers and nothing happened at all what could be wrong?

check the fuse if nothing at all happens the circuit is disrupted. It's under your dash in a black box or under the hood in the engine compartment. look at your owners manual to guide you to the box and specific fuse. pull it and see if the little wire inside is burnt
