Look you need to give us more information. What phone - is it android? Does your car / car radio have blue tooth capability?

Is there a little socket labelled "Aux" on the car or radio? Is there a USB port.

You should not need an "app". You need some hardware.

Overall - kicker is a significantly better car audio brand than Sony. It's not even close.
However, Kicker comps are a very basic entry level sub.
There might be a LITTLE go gain by going with a Sony, especially considering the size difference, but you'll also need a more powerful amp to hear that improvement -- if there is any.

You could have a loose wire somewhere, or you dont have a big enough wire going from the battery to the amp, min should be 8 guage, if you can try to use a 6 or a 4 with a same size or larger ground wire. it has to be able to dish out the power as fast as it can take it. Maybe for 20 bucks at a audio shop or used audio somewhere for a farad copasitor.

Amp suggest - sundown x15?

I have this sundown audio x15 d2, 1250 watts rms - Budget build for the time being... Having a box tuned to 32hz built soon... Got the 0 gauge wiring kits... Two stock 12 - 14 volt batteries... Can't decide on an amp though. (Don't want to go much over 250$ - 300$ tops) I'm hoping to run 1200 - 2000 watts rms @ 1ohm if possible... Got my eye on a hifonics brx2000.1d or Soundstream TA1.2000D, I want to get the sundown audio saz1500d but 600$ is too darn much for me right now... I'd like to get some suggestions because I'm still fairly new to this stuff... Thanks

I have a decently sized ported box with a single 12, I have a 1000 sony amp. I can almost out bass my best friend with a close box with two 12, He has a 1500 watt system he just put in, It also has to do with tuning, you don't want to over tune it or amp it up like crazy. I also have a 2 farad capasitor in my car under the hood and a 1 farad capasitor with the amp. I hold a steady 14.2 amps in my car at almost all times. I even added a ground kit to the car. Both my and my buddy systems are in 6 gen honda accords.
