Question: We've had a problem with our a/c for a while and can't figure it out. help please? Posted: 21 Aug 2014 04:15 PM PDT We've had a problem with our a/c for a while and can't figure it out. help please? we have a 2002 chevy suburban and if we turn the a/c on and give it gas it makes the belt jump up and down and break. the clutch is good, the bearings are good, and it blows freezing cold air. the rattle happens when you take off, but when the gear shifts, the noise stops. but if you keep letting it rattle, the belt breaks. |
Question: Car overheating while sitting in traffic or idling? Posted: 21 Aug 2014 04:06 PM PDT As long as it doesn't go into red you are fine and it is normal . If it overheats again it might be faulty thermostat that keeps water circulation closed in the winter in order for engine to get warm faster . Maybe it is stuck from the rust and so water doesn't circulate through radiator . As long as it is not going into red do not worry about it . |
Question: Car won't start unless jumped, dies when cables disconnected? Posted: 21 Aug 2014 04:00 PM PDT Without looking at the car, my first thought is your alternator bearings failed, seized up causing the belt to overheat and break. The "hot ring thing" may be the alternator pulley. You mentioned "belts" as a plural, more than one belt. So I would think that you don't have one serpentine belt that drives everything. But it's still possible that you have a idler pulley that has failed instead. |
Question: 2000 cavaler fule injection wont work? Posted: 21 Aug 2014 03:59 PM PDT Yeah? |
