Question: California motorcycle permit? Posted: 26 Aug 2014 09:43 PM PDT https://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/dl_info.htm#MI... http://www.ca-msp.org/ Do you have your Class-C driver's license? If so, pay the fee, pass the written and vision tests, walk out with your M/C permit. If not, you need to take and pass Driver's Training, on a car, on the streets, before you can get a M/C permit. The CSMP class may be taken before the permit, is required for the license. |
Question: How to transport a motorcycle? Posted: 26 Aug 2014 08:57 PM PDT Do not lay it down, wheel it up a ramp and then stand it on its sidestand, use some ratchet straps to tie down the bike. Try to avoid compressing the suspension too much but you will have to compress it. There are any number of calamity videos on Youtube of people making mistakes getting their bikes into pick ups – do not, under any circumstances, ride it up nearly always ends in disaster. You will need a surprisingly long ramp for a pickup truck as they are quite tall, but the ramp must not be too flexible or smooth and ideally a spare for you to walk up next to it. Ideally two people pushing from each side and supporting it as it gets to the top and one person standing in the bed of the truck pulling on a strap around the bars. Same to get it off. |
Question: How to convince my mom to let me buy my own scooter/motorcycle? Posted: 26 Aug 2014 08:40 PM PDT How to convince my mom to let me buy my own scooter/motorcycle? So I am a senior in high school and in need of my own transportation. I will be going to college and a car would be too much of an investment. I would like to get a scooter or motorcycle to get around on since it's more financially convenient. But my mom is very against motorcycles because they are dangerous to ride on, especially at night or in bad weather. But this is what I want and I will do myself a favor by getting this instead of a car. I will always wear a helmet and learn to drive safely, especially in the rain. What do I do? |

Question: 2012 Yamaha R6 Handlebar...? Posted: 26 Aug 2014 08:06 PM PDT Oil won't help as much as heavier springs, the oil just dampens the compression and extension. I assume you have checked the fork seals are intact and still sealing. It is also worth checking the condition of the bearings in the steering head and wheels. |
