Question: Can two cars switch lanes at same time? Posted: 21 Aug 2014 02:54 AM PDT If you wanted to turn right, and you knew the right hand turn was approaching, you should have been in the appropriate lane long before the intersection. Nobody 'needs to get in' anywhere. If you 'need to get in' somewhere, just be there earlier. To avoid any road rage incident in the future, don't expect every driver to let you in whereas you are just pushing your way in front. |
Question: At what age did you learn driving? Posted: 21 Aug 2014 01:50 AM PDT pretty much learnt to drive trucks and Excavators like bulldozers etc when I was about 10-12yo and cars around about the same age on my oldies property! I'm now 40 years old! |
Posted: 20 Aug 2014 11:12 PM PDT Number 1, I would always call 911. Then I would check and make sure no gasoline was leaking when approaching the vehicles. If all was clear I would check on the drivers and passengers. If any needed to get out immediately like if they were in water and the vehicle is sinking I always have a window breaker/ seat belt cutter/ pocket knife on me. I would help get the person out and away from the vehicles and on-coming traffic. If CPR is needed, which honestly I think everyone should take the class, I would precede to preform. |
Question: What happens, legally, if your seat belt doesn't fit around you? Posted: 20 Aug 2014 06:18 PM PDT What happens, legally, if your seat belt doesn't fit around you? My neighbor has recently lost everything and our community is trying to help the family get back on their feet. Someone was able to give the family an older car to get by in our rural area until they can get back on their feet. She is the only driver in the family, is quite large and discovered the seat belt does not fit around her. She had to drive today with no seat belt on and I wondered what would happen if she were pulled over. Would she still get a ticket? Or would a ticket be a matter of discrimination in this case? Please do not reply with rude comments about weight. She is ill, with a disabled husband at home, and children and the medication she must be on to save her life is known to cause weight gain. So, let's not let this be the issue. I am concerned about this from a legal standpoint and hope to receive some guidance on that. I would hate to see this too be another burden for this family to bare. |
