Posted: 23 Aug 2014 10:30 AM PDT you could, but what are your plans for the donor? im not even sure the trans is the same, i think the starter has 2 bolts for the v6, similar to a windsor. |
Question: Learning to drive stick? Posted: 23 Aug 2014 10:06 AM PDT think of it this way. 1st gear from 0-12 mph. 2ns from 12 to about 30. 3rd from about 30- 45. 4th from about 45 and up and fifth is overdrive for economy. when your at hiway speed 5th is generally used to lower the engine rpm and theoretically lower the amount of fuel used although thats not always the case. Source(s):if its lugging and bucking and feels like it dont wanna go, adjust the gear selection |

Question: What would be a good classic car to have as a primary vehicle? Posted: 23 Aug 2014 09:44 AM PDT From experience, a classic, vintage, or collectors car is NOT a good primary vehicle. The costs of owning such a vehicle will always be more than you expect. I tried this for about a year with a 1976 Porsche 914. Even well maintained classic cars will break down unexpectedly, and repairs will be much more expensive, and take much longer than you would expect. I enjoy my little sports car a lot more now that I have a reliable primary vehicle (toyota pickup). If you decide you must do this, pick a common one, and probably an American one. Pick a model that they made A LOT of so that repairs and parts are cheap and available. I'm thinking 1965-67 Ford Mustang would be the least bad choice. |
Question: Is my car considered "riced out"? Posted: 23 Aug 2014 09:10 AM PDT Is my car considered "riced out"? One of my cars is a 1995 Corolla, everything about it is stock except the head unit and speakers but that's nothing new with a car that old. I recently blacked out the tailights, badges, grill and stock rims because i honestly like the whole matte black look. There's no exhaust, engine build, or anything like that, is it considered "riced out?" |
