Cars & Transportation: Motorcycles: “Question: Can I register my motorcycle online?” plus 2 more

Question: Can I register my motorcycle online?

Posted: 04 Aug 2014 12:24 AM PDT

Just bought a bike from craigslist. Got all the paperwork signed and all that. I'll go to the DMV tomorrow morning, but I'm just wondering if I can do it online instead. It would be better.

Also, for insurance... I can insure my bike online too or not?

Question: Whats a good beginners motorcycle? a good affordable motorcycle?

It depends on your skills with motorcycles.

The best place to start is something around 250cc
If you have some experience 600cc wouldn't be too bad but you have to be very careful and it's not really recommended but some people do start with that much power. Your best bet is to start with something 250cc since your a beginner. 1000cc is a bit too much I think especially for a beginner.

Question: Process for buying a motorcycle?

So I already bought it from the guy. Signed all the paperwork. Got the pink slip, the title, the registration etc.

Now the bike is with me. Now all I need to do is register it to my name and get insurance right? Or do I need to get insurance first and then register it?

I never bought my own vehicle before so this is all new to me. I'm guessing you would register it first but I just want to make sure. After all this I can legally ride the bike right? Nothing else I need?
