Question: How bad is leaving my car battery on to charge my phone? Posted: 10 Aug 2014 04:12 PM PDT Not much. The phone should be charged in less than one hour. My car radio functions without the key and automatically times out in one hour. As to you turning the key to ACC, the first notch, that may not be even needed. But you failed to mention the year and brand and model of the car. In some cars, the cigarette lighter socket is not powered with the key in the OFF position. Go to ONE slot only. Read the car manual for more specific information of this car. |
Question: Manual trans occasionally doesn't want to shift into gear? Posted: 10 Aug 2014 04:11 PM PDT I'm suspecting "driver error", but it could be a mis-adjusted clutch. If you have a friend who really knows his way around a manual transmission, he / she will know how to check for that. Solve this problem right away. If you're grinding any gear 60% of the time, you won't have gears for very long. |
Question: Why wont my tail lights work when i turn on my head lights? Posted: 10 Aug 2014 04:11 PM PDT Yeah, bulbs out, sockets, connectors, you pull a trailer(s) and wire them different than the truck/car whatever you are working on, and connections and fuses and relays, shorts, bad grounds, etc. wrong bulbs, water entry. live on a dirt road, with washboard surface, pot holes, etc. (that wears the bulb at the nubs on the bottom) |
