Question: Feast in brooklyn NY knock off side mirror? Posted: 31 Aug 2014 11:46 PM PDT Feast in brooklyn NY knock off side mirror? There has been a feast on my block for the last week. I live on a one way street and due to the feast in my neighborhood the intersection to edit my block was closed off. Due to the closure of the one way intersection cars parked on my block had to make a u turn on a narrow one way street to exit the opposite end of the block. I walk to my car and noticed my side view mirror is hanging unhooked and most likely need a replacement. Is there anyway or somehow I can have the city pay for the damages due to the closure of my block? |

Question: Am I the only one who thinks that driving age should be 19? Posted: 31 Aug 2014 09:42 PM PDT Am I the only one who thinks that driving age should be 19? America is one of the few place that allows 14-17 year old teens to drive. Unfortunately, they are the ones who statistically cause most car accidents in the US and most of teens (i did talk with them) do not know that cars can turn into a weapon and driving should not be considered as a fun activity. |
Posted: 31 Aug 2014 09:15 PM PDT Threshold braking means hard braking just short of locking up the tires which is most effective when driving straight (not turning). With anti-lock brakes its a no brainer. But if you do not have anti-lock brakes you have to get a feel for it. That is preferred over trying to dodge the animal, losing control, and running into a tree (like that insurance commercial with the squirrels). If you hit the animal, oh well, better that than killing yourself. |
Question: I almost caused a car accident. Help!? Posted: 31 Aug 2014 07:33 PM PDT I almost caused a car accident. Help!? So I just got my permit about a month ago and I asked my mom to let me drive to my Grandma's house. A few minutes into the drive, I got to an intersection. I swore I looked both ways before going, but I must have missed a car that was coming from my left. As soon as I saw that they were coming, I quickly pulled into my lane safely, but I could see the guy in the other car waving his hands at me and most likely cussing me out as it was close. I feel really awful about it and now I'm scared to drive again. Any tips to help me stop worrying? I don't want to be scared to drive. |
