How can I avoid getting my license suspended?

I am a taxi driver. I got into an accident while working. When I went to submit documents for insurance I found out the owner didn't have coverage on the cab I was driving. Now my license could get suspended. What do I do? It's not my fault he didn't have insurance.

I went to the DMV one day and they told me I could not get my license because in 2007 I received a marijuana possession charge but I wasn't driving and they told me my license was suspended because of it and told me that I have to take a risk reduction class in order to take the test to get my license is this true I mean I wasn't driving I don't understand how my license could possibly be suspended and I wasn't driving

No big deal, as long as it happened very recently. Your rates won't go up over hitting a deer, so don't worry about that. It'll be covered under your Comprehensive (aka fire & theft) coverage in most places.

Call up your insurance provider and let them know you hit a deer. If they need a police report (which they don't always), they'll let you know. If anybody asks why you didn't already report it to the cops, just tell them you didn't know it was required. (Because what are the cops going to do, go arrest the deer for hit & run?)

Then they'll instruct you to get a professional repair estimate, so do that.

That's not going to work. Their quoting computer might offer the signup discount, but take note of that little blurb at the bottom of the quote that says "subject to verification". They put that there for a reason.

A first-time discount is just that, and it's a one time deal. Call up your provider and ask if any other discounts or bonuses are available, and there's no law against shopping around to see what the competition can do, but don't try to fool their computer into continuing your first-time discount. It never works.
