Question: My boat is a sealed unit with radiator. do I need to winterize? Posted: 01 Oct 2014 04:42 AM PDT Add fuel stabilizer to prevent the gas from going bad and clogging the carburetor. http://www.goldeagle.com/brands/sta-bil Add stabil to the gas tank and run the engine for a few minutes to coat the innards of the carb. Boats especially should have the engine "fogged" to coat the inside of the exhaust all the way back through the engine and through the carb into the air box. The fogging will prevent rust - salt water is a rust accelerator. Google - fog an engine |
