Question: Is it ok to buy myself a brand new car for my first car as a teen? Posted: 12 Oct 2014 08:15 PM PDT Have you priced what insurance will cost you ? No new car dealer will let you have a new car on financing without full insurance coverage, including collision. Unless you include that cost, you have no idea if you can or cannot afford this car. And, at your age, insurance is not going to be cheap. And, understand that if you can't pay the bills in a couple of years, your loan will owe MORE than the car will be worth. New cars lose at least 10% of their value the moment they drive off the lot. That's why a much better plan is to buy lightly used, a car that's a couple of years old. You lose maybe 15% of the car's lifetime, but you get a price that's 30% or more off the new price. |
Question: Whats a good car that looks fresh but under 5k? Posted: 12 Oct 2014 07:51 PM PDT Something from 2005 will be fresh enough for an average vehicle. Luxury vehicle try around year 2000. And at that price point people usually take what they get that runs great. |
Question: What is the paper/magazine called that has houses for rent and cars for sale in my area? Posted: 12 Oct 2014 07:00 PM PDT You are not saying what area you live in. You can go into the internet and type in the phrase "Classified ads for Blank City, State"...and you should be able to find out. WIsh I could help you more. |
Question: How much should my payments be on 26k car? Posted: 12 Oct 2014 06:40 PM PDT In order to work out your insurance cost, we'd have to know the make, year and model of your car, your age and gender, city of residence, and many other details. So, there's no way to give you anything like a quote here. Call a few insurance companies, give them all that info and see what they tell you. Next, with very bad credit, how do you expect to be approved for credit for a $26,000 car ? Seriously ? |
