Question: What's the best Harley Davidson bike for a beginner?

There is only one HD I'd consider for a newbie rider, the Street 500.

But the Street series are brand new and for a new rider, an older bike is the way to go. The reasoning behind that is that new riders often do drop their bike at some point and dropping an older bike is psychologically much less taxing compared to dropping a brand new bike.

I suggesting starting off on something like an older Virago 535 or something similar and once you've have accumulated some mileage under your butt, consider the move up to your dream bike.

Question: How do I replace a used motorcycle key?

If you quote the VIN to a dealer they should be able to give you the key code – a letter followed by 4 or 5 digits.

Some older Yamahas have the key code stamped on the bike (look at the back of the helmet lock or a sticker at the bottom of the ignition barrel.
