Question: Is it legal to land our own planes on public runway? Posted: 11 Oct 2014 01:02 AM PDT . A public use airport is open to public use - you are part of the public! The only airports you can't use with out asking propr permission are military and private airports, Most airports used by personal aircraft do not even have a control tower or air traffic control, you don't have to ask anyone for permisson to land. It will vary with the aircraft, but most light planes can operate out of a 3000 tp 3500 ft runway safely. A little news for Stephen - there are only a hand full of airports that require arrival reservations, and that is only for IFR arrivals at peak times. Private aircraft do not buy "landing slots". Major terminals hubs may charge higher landing fees than a GA airport, but by law, a public airport can not refuse use to any aircraft.
Question: FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR QUESTIONS...? Posted: 10 Oct 2014 10:09 PM PDT While Eric is correct about the degree, he did not answer the question! Few people would consider being a CFI a "career field", for most it's just a way to build hours. Yes, a 20 year old can find a position as a CFI, but it may not even pay the rent. Your pay and flight hours will be subject to the whims of the weather (instruction, even most instrument instruction, is VFR), the personal schedules of your students, and the maintenace schedule of the aircraft.
Question: Hey. who is a pilot? Posted: 10 Oct 2014 05:21 PM PDT Last weak eye kud knot spel pile it Now eye R 1. Although I do fly at the controls from time to time I am not a certified pilot. I never finished my training.
Question: Why does seatbelt light stay on sometimes? Posted: 10 Oct 2014 12:52 PM PDT Or the pilot(s) forget(s) to turn them OFF...! Source(s):Retired airline pilot
Question: Relationship between atc and avc? Posted: 10 Oct 2014 11:31 AM PDT What is AVC? I know it is a video codec for computers, could be autonomous vehicle control, american veterinary council, but have no clue as to how it relates to aircraft or Air Traffic Control! Wait, got it automatic volume control...keeps ATC from being too loud on your headset!!!! :)
Question: Looking for a cloud vape pen? Posted: 10 Oct 2014 08:28 AM PDT Good question, but I really don't know. That's why I answer questions in the AIRCRAFT category. If I knew about that stuff, I would hang out in CONSUMER ELECTRONICS or something like that.
