Question: Car insurance said they would pay, now it is denying claim? Posted: 08 Oct 2014 09:24 AM PDT Car insurance said they would pay, now it is denying claim? My car broke down and needed a tow. The tow truck driver ended up damaging my car after he failed to secure it properly and it rolled off the flat bed. The tow company and their insurance gave me the run around before finally deciding to pay 2 months later. It was cheaper to fix the damages than buy me a new car.

Question: Filing a car insurance claim after backing into another car in an at fault state? Posted: 08 Oct 2014 09:14 AM PDT I was involved in a DUI car accident in Iowa where I backed into another parked vehicle. A police report was filed, and it reported that my vehicle sustained an estimated $2000 in damage, which is about how much my car is worth. The other vehicle reportedly sustained $200 of damage, although it was mostly cosmetic and looked very minor. So far I have not made a report to my insurance regarding the accident, although they obviously know about the DUI. The other driver was mentioned in the report, but I never had any contact with them. My question is, is there any point in making a claim on this accident to my insurance? Will I get any compensation since Iowa is an at fault state? Or will this make my insurance rise more than it already has following the DUI? Thanks for any input you can give.
Question: How do I take ownership of a car my grandfather left me? Posted: 08 Oct 2014 09:09 AM PDT How do I take ownership of a car my grandfather left me? My grandfather recently died and he had a car that everyone has decided I will get (he had no will so we are kind of just distributing things fairly amongst family). How would I get the car in my name? I want to sell the car on craigslist so what would I need to be able to sell the car without a buyer saying "Hey, your name isn't on the title" and have the whole sale fall through?
