| Question: If you unbolt the intake gasket, do you have to replace it? CEL is on!? Posted: 06 Oct 2014 04:54 PM PDT If you unbolt the intake gasket, do you have to replace it? CEL is on!? I have a 00' lexus ls400, we needed to get to the starter so my mechanic went in and took off the TB gasket and also lower intake manifold gasket and he unbolted the upper manifold gasket, but then realized he didn't need to so he bolted it back down but I'm still getting the p0171 bank 1 to lean. Think it could be the TB gasket that was re used or even the unbolted upper manifold gasket? |
| Question: How to get tail pipe flames? Posted: 06 Oct 2014 04:49 PM PDT how to get tail pipe flames? I have a old turbo charged car with a full 3in catless exhaust. I currently have the the axle back portion of the exhaust (roughly 3ft) off and was interested in putting a spark plug in near to tail pipe. My car naturally shots flames once in while when I take it above 6k and let off or when 2 stepping but I want to make a more consistent flame shooting. Would I be able to run a wire from my battery to my cabin and attach it to a toggle switnch (so I can turn it on and off) then run it to a small spark plug in my exhaust, and do I need to weld a threaded bung in or would I be fine just drilling and tapping threads in. And what else may I need for it to work? |
