Question: I'm almost old Enough to get my license and I am going to get a Harley is that impressive, would girls be impressed?

This isn't the 80's my friend. Girls now-a-days only care if you dress like a gay punk. I mean skinny jeans, brand new sneakers, muscle shirt, 1000 different kinds of caps, stuff like that. Doesn't matter if they guy has to walk 20 miles everyday, as long as you dress like that, you're good. But from a personal standpoint, I think it's pretty cool to ride a Harley in high school.

Question: Motorcycle road skills test in Louisiana?

Motorcycle road skills test in Louisiana?

So I have study material for the written test, but I need to know what I'm up against on a road skills test in Louisiana. I need this, because this is my first road bike, plus not to mention its a 87 Honda Shadow 700, which is a big step from a trail dirt bike. It'd be nice to know all regs, disqualifications, and the maneuvers that I have to do in order to pass. Drawings are welcomed as well to explain the maneuvers.

Question: Why are motorcycles around the world "geared" differently?

Posted: 03 Oct 2014 08:21 PM PDT

Street bikes, Sport bikes and Super bikes all vary from 250cc to 1,400cc.

They all have different manufactures and etc but are basically the same.

Then how come they all shift differently.

Some go down, up, up, up

Some go Up, down, down, down

Some go down, down, down, down

And then some go up, up, up, up

Is there is mechanical or engineering reason why the gears have to be arranged in a

certain order.

I've noticed that on small bikes 125cc the gears all go down, down, down, down.

Then on the bigger bikes 500cc-1000cc they go down, up, up, up

Then the super bikes 1100cc-1400cc sometimes go up, down, down, down

I mean when your riding there is no indicator and therefore you have no way of

remembering which gear your in so you may do the wrong thing and cause the engine

to cease. But then again if you practice then you won't have this problem.

I just thought that all bikes should be standard.

I grew up on dirt bikes and my first bike was a 50cc and the gears were

were down, down, down, with an automatic clutch.

My second bike was a 125cc that had standard gearing then I went to a 250cc.

Question: Why is my battery not charging?

Posted: 03 Oct 2014 07:08 PM PDT

why is my battery not charging?

I've got an 06 Dyna Street-Bob, left my keys in to long and drained the battery dead.
Figured I'd just put it on a trickle charge over night, but I went out in the morning and it was still dead. Noticed the speedometer was twitching and making a ticking sound. I took out the fuse connecting the speedometer, hoping it works.
What's going on?
