A 4Runner or Grand Cherokee is crap for off roading if you are looking at new one's. They are all plastic and made for never leaving asphalt. They USED to be great off road vehicles, about 15+ years ago. Maybe you should buy one that old or more, for $5k-ish. Then upgrade the hell out of it for $15k or so, and then still have a ton left. And a really awesome custom off road vehicle. Can do stuff like getting the engine completely rebuilt and upgraded, obviously suspension upgraded, recover seats in something nice. Add nice aftermarket, touch screen navigation radio, custom paint, brush guard, luggage rack, a set of sweet rims and tires, etc. That's what you should do. You buy a new one and go off the road just a little and you'll rip the bumper off and be calling a tow truck to come get you and getting a $5k bill for another plastic bumper to be installed.

I would say no it would be a waste of money. If you wanted a pair just buy a cheap pair of neoprene gloves that fit and just cut off the fingers.

2014 car the sits high or a suv with a good price and good gas mileage.?

So I'm looking to buy my first brand new car. I know I want a 2014 or even 2015. I was wondering if there are any cars that sit high. I'm not a fan or slumping down to sit in a car. I currently have a pt cruiser and I like the way it sits. I'm also interested in SUVs or small trucks. Just trying to find one in my price range. I'd like to stay under 20,000. And good gas mileage would be a plus!
