Question: Is coal dust from rail cars harmful? Posted: 17 Aug 2014 03:31 PM PDT Coal dust from any source can be a lung irritant and can cause health issues if exposed to it frequently. A one time pass by with a train will do nothing more than perhaps give you a cough. There is usually more "crap" in the air you breathe everyday than you would get from a one time shot of coal dust. |
