Question: Car Sound System?

Posted: 17 Aug 2014 06:22 AM PDT

Just trying to get a nice sound going. I'm have a new Pioneer X3700 stereo with 2 Sony explode 3 way speakers in front door (super pitchy/irritable) and 2 Kicker 2 way in back door. (both 6.5in speakers)

When I turn it up sound distorts and sounds awful. I guess I need 4 channel amp? If so what do you recommend. Need cheap good sound.

Also can I run speaker wires with 12 gauge solid copper wire?

Thanks

I have a 2400 watt, one channel, one ohm stable amp. I'm installing 2 Kicker 15"s that have 4 ohm DVC into a MDF 3.8 cu ft seal box with approx 30% poly fiber. What is the best way to wire these 2 subs to that one amp?.I want every watt possible from this amp.
Thanks

Question: Secondary truck batteries?

Secondary truck batteries?

Im about to get a new audio system installed in my truck and im not sure if my current battery will handle the load. I was thinking of getting another battery and wiring it up to the first one as just a back up. But rather than having it wired to the primary battery directly, i wanna wire it through a switch so that the battery will only be used when i need it (i.e. first battery goes dead, i have the music extremely loud, etc.) Can i wire it through a standard auxilary style switch? And do they make a fuse relay that can handle that kind of juice?

Question: Which car stereo system should I invest in?

I like kicker better, but Richard is correct... It's time to learn... Google your questions, learn about ohms law, and tuning subwoofer boxes... They are a lot to know like amp wire sizes, rms power ratings and peak power ratings, fuse ratings, etc... Do your homework first.. Then build your system... It will sound much better and maybe you want blow nothing up. :-)
