How do I get a key out of a broken lock?

I put my key into a broken door lock, and though I can turn it, I can't remove it from the lock. How do I take it out? The key isn't broken, the lock is.

I have a 2003 ford focus svt 6 speed manual. Is it normal for the car to be in 6th gear going 55-65 mph?

Got a buddy with a kia rio which I am working on.

We took it to autozone and found a cylinder number two misfire and bad knock sensor.
This was earlier this year.

Last Sunday I replaced the knock sensor, we
took it out for a test drive afterwards to see if it would go above 2k rpms. The misfire is still there however now the car stumbles and bogs down in first and second gear. When I checked the fluid it was splashed up the dipstick and full of air bubbles. I know it's most likely a bad seal allowing air inside the transmission, but I wanted to know all the possible causes.

The vehicle has 180+k on the clock and has been severely neglected in almost all aspects.
