That depends on a lot of factors.

How much will it cost you to live on campus versus off? Don't forget to include the cost of food, utilities and other bills.

How much will it cost you to commute? Do you have a car you'll be driving? Then you need to include the cost of gas, maintenance, and parking. Were you going to take a bus? Then figure out if the (possibly) longer time in transit is going to be a detriment or not (I used it to study). Were you going to bike? Don't forget that doing so takes substantially longer, and you'll need to have enough money on hand for tire repairs and any other fixes that might come up.

Alternatively, if you're living on campus, how are you going to get around when you need to do things off campus? If a car, do you have to pay extra for a parking space? If the bus, do the buses even run past the campus the entire evening? Is it easy to catch a bus from the campus to anywhere else you need to go?

As you can see, there are a lot of financial issues to figure out, as well as convenience. For myself, I lived with my parents for all but one year of my degree and drove myself for most of them. Parking was horribly expensive, but I didn't want to take a bus. I eventually did for one year to try and save money, but it turns out I get horribly motion sick, so once that year ended I felt the extra cost for parking was worth it to not feel like I was going to throw up during my first class each day.

Where is 'THERE' ? In order to navigate, you need a starting point AND a destination. You only proved ONE of those two needed things.
